Visits in Isny and Wangen in Allgäu

We had district meeting on the 23rd of September and on the way home we visited some people in Isny and Wangen. Both of those cities are really beautiful old towns. Here are some pictures.

This is part of the city wall in Isny

We wanted to remember what the flowers look like in all those beautiful flower boxes they have all over here.

The Allgäu alps in the distance

A Wangen clock tower

a simple drug store

... and nearby café. There are statues of a man tending pigs in the square

Between buildings is a low archway leading to a home.

One of the city wall gates in Wangen

A picture depicting the city poles that many villages have in the area.

An unusual statue of a pile of men. The saying on it is something like: "You can pile up seven Allgäuers and the pressure is the same on the top one as with the bottom one." I have no clue what that is supposed to mean.

One of many pedestrian streets

They do love their cows.

Sunset looking towards Switzerland.
